Vallourec wins Storengy contract
February 23rd, 2022 Vallourec has announced that it has been selected by Storengy, a subsidiary of ENGIE, to provide materials for its HyPSTER project. The project, which aims to design and operate a facility for the underground production, storage, and use of renewable hydrogen, is supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership. Launched in January 2021, the projects mission statement is to produce clean, renewable energy by the electrolysis of hydrogen. The project is taking place at Storengy’s natural gas facility in Etrez, France. Storengy chose to award Vallourec with the contract to supply the project with energy oriented tubular solutions based on a long history of trusted collaboration.
